The LedgeGuard™ from Garlock Safety Systems is a dual-gate, OSHA-compliant pallet transfer solution designed to protect workers at height while maintaining smooth material handling. Engineered to meet OSHA standards 1910.29(b) and 1926.502(b), this safety gate provides continuous fall protection regardless of which side is open. With an open-top design, it allows for vertical hoisting of oversized materials or tall pallets, making it ideal for industrial and distribution environments where flexibility is key. Its self-balancing mechanism automatically opens one side as the other closes, ensuring constant barrier protection during pallet transfers.
With a generous 59.8” wide by 61.9” deep clear opening, LedgeGuard™ easily accommodates standard 40″ x 48″ pallets and fits guardrail openings as narrow as 68.2”. The gate installs under 84” of ceiling clearance and does not rely on gas struts—minimizing maintenance and reducing ownership costs. Its structural design supports tall loads and eliminates unsafe gaps with optional filler panels to meet the 19” maximum opening rule per OSHA 1926.502(b)(2)(iii).
